Working together, Clay City CUSD #10 and the Flora Public Library have created an opportunity for Clay City Unit #10 students living outside the City of Flora corporate boundaries – who are not served by other local libraries – to apply for and receive a Flora Public Library card at no cost. This opportunity is possible through an Intergovernmental Agreement between the school district and the library. This agreement covers Clay City Unit #10 students only, not other household members. Student cards are only valid at Flora Public Library.
In order for your student to receive a Flora Public Library card:
- A parent or guardian must accompany the student(s) to the Flora Public Library to complete a library card application
- The parent or guardian will be asked to show one piece of current identification showing name and address. Examples of acceptable ID include, but are not limited to, a valid driver’s license, student ID, a recently delivered piece of mail or a receipt listing name and address.
- The parent or guardian’s signature is required to show acceptance of responsibility
This opportunity for a no-cost card is available anytime during the school year! Your student’s card will be issued any time during the school year after July 1 and expires June 30 of the next year.
